Cardinal Recognized as Outstanding Woman

Deck: Campus wide nominations recognize lecturer Alison Cardinal as one of nine women leading the campus in exceptional performance.

Writing Studies’ Alison Cardinal has been named an Outstanding Woman of 2015.

In honor of national Women’s Month, UWT’s Office of Equity and Diversity annually recognizes women on campus who have gone above and beyond their every-day job in service of the university. The Equity and Diversity staff gathers nominations from the campus community for women spanning all disciplines to be recognized as Outstanding Women.

Assistant Chancellor for Equity & Diversity, Dr. Sharon Parker, said nominations call for women who, “bring the campus together in community; consistently support programs outside of her unit that bring credit or services to others; advance the educational perspective of others; or provide personal and professional development to others, especially women whose talents and potential tend to be overlooked.”
